Konane was all smiles, giggling as Alastair sputtered and stammered. "I am just very excited. Everyone has given me advice, and I think they should know."
She rubbed Alastair's shoulder, and gave it a squeeze. "I am patient, with you, and I will help you figure things out." Konane wiggled in her chair, and cut more waffle to mix with the sausage.

Taliesin looked up from the making of his waffleritto and smiled. Jaeger got a response in before he could and he was nearly ready to speak when Alastair and Konane continued.
"Glad to see things are working out so far. Taking it slow is understandable." He refrained from saying more at the moment. He had a reputation in the group and was still working to fix that. He lifted his waffle wrapped sausage sandwich to his mouth and took a big bite.

Sae nodded, giving them a smile. "I'm glad for you both, then." She agreed- topping off her coffee.

"Ah, so it indeed was fully subconscious?" Jaeger took a seat, then looked over to the coffee he'd failed to actually take with him in the wake of the of the new couple's announcement. Ultimately, he decided that he'd just get it later.
"I'd certainly seen another who didn't really understand that someone was flirting with them," he said while leaning forward to Alistair, "so had accepted that you were the same. I was just as willing to accept that you were nervous, rather than oblivious, and were especially good at feigning ignorance. Well, a relationship tends to be a private matter, but just as we've guided Konane to lay bare her wishes, we can all likely guide you in how to reciprocate, or assist in other ways."
Jaeger was very aware of Taliesin's complicated reputation, and still he was included in those who could give advice, as Jaeger gave a nod of indication to both Sae and Tali while speaking the previous sentence. Klinkle would have been included as well, were the bird present.
"Perhaps the day after slaying a child of Ruin is odd timing, especially with the responsibilities we will continue to press towards, but do you have any plans to spend time together? Perhaps a day alone in say, Skyhammer or another town, would do you well. I don't imagine that a ship full of former enemies fosters easily a romantic atmosphere."

Taliesin listened on as he ate. He was halfway through his waffleritto when he took a moment to breathe and speak. "Not a child of Ruin, merely a god in her pantheon." He said correcting Jaeger.
He looked between Konane and Alastair. "We're all very happy for you both. But I trust that you will work things out in your own ways and your own time." He looked around at the group. "After all, I assume that the kiss was not within my glade or even among Telemon's floating castle."
He nodded his head with a smirk towards them and resumed eating the wafflerito.

"No, we kissed at the docks... The environment was not very romantic, but it was nice being with him." She took a sip of her tea- hibiscus- and flicked her ears side to side, not able to contain her excitement whatsoever.
"But we have had been spending a lot of time together. Sharing a bed, nothing more. I just really enjoy being around him when we have our downtime." She smiled, and glanced to everyone. "I think talking to you all really helped me get the courage to talk to him. I felt silly, I have been able to woo any man I would like. Something about you, Alastair, makes me... hesitate."

He chuckled, nodding to Sae, then Jaeger and Taliesin. Then he turned toward Konane as she spoke, following up, "I don't know what you see, or how anything about me could make you nervous. I'm not exactly imposing- I'm pretty sure you could heft me any which way if you wanted." Shaking his head, still red in the cheeks, he took a sip and dabbed his lip again, turning his attention away from Konane and toward the others gathered.
"I don't suppose it was romantic, kissing by the ruins. But the bay looked nice. And... Yes, Doctor, it would seem that despite my worldly and well learned nature, there are some... queues... I missed. Continue to miss." He shrugged.
"It took forever for me to figure out Sae was into Ve'Ra. Or vice versa. I never really paid attention to that kind of thing- I uh- Oh. Right, I explained that to Konane, but not..." He shook his head and lifted a hand. "You'll all have to bear with me. While most people went to gatherings and learned the way to dance and court and flirt, I studied the ways of natural law." He steeled his eyes and brought his voice down to a gruff timbre. Which, expectedly, caused his façade to crack at the first unexpected squeak of his voice.

"For what it's worth, it took me a good while to figure out that 'vice versa' bit myself." Sae said, a smile in her voice.
"I never expect anyone to flirt with me, so I just... don't see it when it's happening. Hence my advice to Konane. It's what works best on me. And you'll both figure out your... " she waved her hand in their direction.
"Rhythm, method. That just happens with time and communication."

Talesin's comment made Jaeger tilt his head.
"Tali, are you... omniscient when it comes to what happens in the Glade?"

Taliesin focused on eating as discussion of Sae and Ve'ra proceeded. He paused taking his final bite when Jaeger asked his question. "Omiscient ... no. Observant, yes."
He gestured toward the entrance to his glade. "Immediately following our meeting with Cayne I returned here and kept a general watch out. They didn't come back until after sunset." He turned the last bite of the waffleritto in his hand. "And Konane was positively brimming when they did return."
He popped the last bite of the waffleritto into his mouth and chewed.

"Ah. I have a hard time hiding my excitement." She raised a hand and rubbed her cheek, glancing away, ears folding a little. "I just cannot help it. Especially when we are in a safe space."
Konane looked to Taliesin, and pursed her lips. "You have been around Mirrai a lot. Have you grown feelings for her?"

It... seemed as though everyone was in on Konane's conflict, having offered advice as they had. On the one hand, it was good to see her confide in others- especially considering the kind of upbringing that could have made her a more guarded person. On the other... The fact that he hadn't seen it...
You should work on that, he thought.
And then came a subject change. Brows high, he glanced to Taliesin and then Konane. And for just a moment he nearly offered his opinion- that Taliesin was being helpful and friendly! And yet, now he doubted his own take on the matter. And began flitting his glance between Taliesin and Konane with studious intent.

Oh interesting. Sae would stay quiet at this particular development, sipping her coffee and arching an eyebrow at the conversation.

Taliesin looked up at Konane. He was curious as to why she targeted him for the conversation. He swallowed the last bite of waffleritto and let his eyes move across the group as silence fell.
"It's complicated." He said as he stole a fleeting glance at Sae. He sighed and stood to retrieve a cup and some tea. "Besides, we're on a quest to kill people she actually knows." He picked up a cup slowly. "That kind of thing has consequences."
