"That's what they all say," Vanya said coyly. She then dared to lift Verdi's arm and move it around her shoulders.
"I'm sorry, I'm terrible. I'm giddy. I have a flutteryness in my chest that I'm not used to, but different from the flutteryness when I faced that celestial, which was different from the flutteryness I felt when we faced that demon. I am also rambly."
She shook her head, forcing her mouth shut behind a smile.

Ah, she was getting closer... Verdi let her move his arm to around her shoulders, giving her a slight squeeze.
"I am, too. I feel the same way... I'm really happy you feel like this, I was worried you wouldn't be interested."

"Why? Out of curiosity." Vanya wasn't in a hurry to get back to camp, so continued to stroll along with Verdi at her side.

"Just preparing for the worst I suppose. I didn't know you had interest... I just thought you might prefer to stay friends." Verdi rubbed Vanya's shoulder, keeping an eye out for Natasha's scratch marks that dotted the trail back to camp.

"Well, yeah..." He shrugged some, not sure if he wanted to think of the technicalities of a relationship. Not yet. He was still spinning on her accepting and admitting she had feelings for him.

Vanya was quiet for a moment before speaking. "No... not really. It was just mama and I in Gilneas... and then I left and wound up on Te'Kaal. Most of the people I've met here..." She shrugged. "I don't... feel comfortable being myself around them. Better to be someone else... but no. No relationships."

Verdi nodded, chewing the inside of his lip some. "I've... Been in one relationship, but it didn't get very far before... Some things happened." He frowned, wondering if nothing did happen, if they'd still be together or not.
"I just... Buried the hatchet with him. So he'll stop acting like a sad puppy whenever I'm around, hopefully..."
