It was past nightfall near the ziggurat. The sky clear allowing an unimpeded view of the moon and stars. Some distance from the ziggurat the air shimmered and warped.
Sinna crossed through the gateway from the thorn path. Her long white ears with blue streaks laying flat behind her head. She looked around the now night time scene not far from the ziggurat. Her deep blue robe nearly invisible to sight save for the silver accents.
The light atop the ziggurat drew her blue eyes and caused her to make her way up. She opted for large hops the whole way in order to cross faster. That seemed as safe a place to harbor given that it was night.

Alina looked out over the dark night of the ziggurat. While she had shrugged out of some of her armor- cleaning the large, empty temple was hard work- she still kept her flail nearby, in case of trouble. Honestly, the place had been too full of too many fiends too recently for her to not still be wary that some might have lingered.
Looking over the large glowing stone, she sighed.
"I hope you do not mind the little mushroom patch- but it seemed a good place for them. And maybe soon... we can make this a proper temple."

The night was clear, the stars bright against the black, and the moon was waxing from its fullness of the night prior. The Tear of the Moon glowed gently- a soft and slow pulse. Though Alina received no response to her words, she knew the enormous crystal could speak to her... For now it seemed content to remain silent. Resting, as it had put it, to gather its strength and sift through its countless, jumbled memories.
In some small way, spending time near the gem was not unlike a vigil.

Sinna hopped her way up the steps of the ziggurat. She wasn't entirely sure of what to expect, but the glowing crystal was enticement enough. As she grew closer she saw the silhouette near the Moon's Tear "Uh, he-Hello ..." She paused a few steps from the top. "Y-you aren't a fiend ... or undead, are you?"
In the light of the moon and the Moon's Tear the soft white rabbit folk face almost seemed to glow, with vivid blue eyes that seemed to glow as well. Her form was covered in a robe with a travel bag slung loosely around her.

Alina blinked at the harengon, tilting her white head to the side. "Quite the opposite, actually. Very alive, and somewhat blessed." She said in her thick accent, bowing a little.
"Don't mind the dark armor, little one- I'm quite friendly. I'm called Alina Morhea. I'm a paladin."

Sinna lolled her head to the side initially, trying to take in the size of the paladin. "Well, that is overall good to hear. I was warned that both were around here."
She looked around and shifted with nervous energy. She was still several steps below the top of the ziggurat and was not closing the distance any further, yet.

"There are- you were not misled. The ziggurat is safe though- my comrades helped clean it out, and the fiends have taken their loot and left. It's quite empty, but no longer cursed or full of creepy things that go bump in the night. You are welcome to enter, if you wish. The night can be unkind to travelers in the jungle."

Sinna cautiously hopped up a few more steps. The lighting had kept Alina in silhouette. Though she could see her face without issue she pretended that she was only seeing her just now.
"Oh ... " She was staring at Alina's face, seeing the vague color and outline of the scars and white hair. She looked down and away to what appeared to be an entrance. "S-so, are your friends inside then?"

Alina frowned softly. There was something about the way the question was asked that made the hair stand up on the back of her neck- or perhaps it was the fact that she was alone in jungle, and was just now realizing in retrospect what a terrible idea that was.
"Myself and a few small friends."

Sinna blinked and backed up. She said small friends just then. She cautiously took a step back suddenly looking a little afraid. "R-right ... small ... f-friends."
Another step back and down, cautious and readying to run. "You said you're a paladin. A paladin for whom."

"I am in service of Selune, Goddess of the moon and travellers." Alina said, sweeping a short bow.
The harengon was certainly a timid thing.

Sinna slowly unshrunk as Alina responded. She turned her head to the large crystal and then up to the moon. She was aware enough to understand that Selune was generally safe. She still kept her distance for the moment.
"Well, Alina Morhea, Paladin of Selune ... you can call me Sinna. I'm a messenger of sorts." She gave a cordial bow as would be expected of a creature coming from the Feywild. She remained where she stopped, but did seem a little more confident. "Are your small friends ... friendly?"
