As the hours drag on, Porter -- having arrived with Neuks some time ago -- has left her to her reading and is currently busying themself in the lounge. Specifically, they have found a piano and are now playing it softly, hesitantly, as though unused to what they're doing as their fingers move carefully along they keys. Fragments of sonatas trickle out bit by bit. Most are recognizable and originate from amongst the nations. Some from Cyre, even, mixed amongst the others (if they would be recognized). It's a musical tour of Porter's memories as they wander through the pieces, lost in thought.(Performance 11)

Pheuse looked up from his mild tinkering and looked up towards Ellie. "Do you think she's lost? It has been quite some time and it isn't like Cannith House is hard to find." He looked back down to his small trinket and fiddling with it.

After they returned, Neuks was strangely quiet and unsociable. She was pleasant enough, but it was obvious her mind was elsewhere. She found a chair big enough for a firbolg and began to read through the book of papers Ashryn gave her, hoping to find anything that might provide her with her next lead.

Ellie had been in good, if nervous, spirits for most of the day, but as the day grew longer and Si still had not arrived, the nervous energy began to take over and she started to pace, frequently checking windows on her rounds. She wasn't even able to focus on her book, which was just another frustration to grapple with.
Finally, the anxiety got to be too much and Tobias took over, exhaling slowly before he found a seat of his own to settle in.
"No. Not lost. Delayed, perhaps. She... didn't give a precise time frame. If she's not here by evening, then I'm going to go out and look for her."

Porter: You plunk a little on the piano. It's definitely idle noodling instead of a strong song.
Neuks: The book is dense and hard to read, but the first portion appears to be on a new medical theory called 'germ theory', where tiny organisms too small to see are thought to be the cause of all, if not most diseases. There's a strong debate in the first half about this theory, and at least one person calls it old fashioned superstition.

They closed the fallboard on the piano after a while of this, a bit of a dissatisfied sigh escaping from them unbidden. There was a time where this wouldn't have been quite so difficult, but skills like weapons can dull from disuse, too. Standing, they brushed imperceptible dust from themself, and set about to gather a tea tray the others. It was a bit after tea time, but everyone seemed to be deep into their own tasks and would hopefully overlook the delay.
Besides, with Si having not arrived yet, Porter thought it would be an opportunity to check the mood about this. Perhaps it was time for everyone to reconvene -- tea would make a good excuse to do so.

Pheuse listened, but did not acknowledge that he had heard. At least not in any overt way. The tinkering paused again, but this time he didn't look up. "Oh, Porter ... we have something very important to discuss." He moved his head around examining the little orb he was fiddling with.

Evidently, Neuks had found something very interesting as she had begun scribbling notes in a journal she had retrieved from her bag. She turned the page and began to read again. Chev had laid down beside her chair and rested his head on her lap. Neuks absently reached down to scratch around where his antlers connected to his skull.

"I'm going to check if any messages were sent to the House," Tobias announced, turning to the door so as to make his way toward the reception area. After some weighty consideration earlier, they had confided that they were a changeling to the masters of the house, to avoid speculation and communication when Tobias or Ellie appeared to follow up on something the other had been inquiring about.
Such as a message from Si. This would not be the first time they asked.

Scion- no messages have been received today, from Si or anyone else.
Porter- a tea tray is easy to find, as well as the items needed to make a good presentation of tea- including tiny little lemon squares, which are the cook's specialty. Maggie informs you with a conspiratorial whisper that you must have made quite the impression with Kate, as they are tricky to make and she doesn't go through that much effort with every guest.

Tea cups clink lightly on their saucers as Porter lowers the tray onto a serving table. The smell of the tea slowly suffuses the room: definitely a black tea, but with hint of lavender adding floral notes to the air and promising a lovely herbaceousness to compliment the lemon bars also on the tray (They had made a particular note to compliment the texture of the lemon curd and send their thanks back to Kate). They placed a cup and lemon square just within reach of everyone unobtrusively, careful not to interrupt them until they were ready to be distracted. As they settled one next to Pheuse they came closer so they could speak easily. "Of course, Master Pheuse. How may I be of assistance?"[\font]

Pheuse looked up a little, taking notice of the tea and lemon bar that Porter placed near to him. "Brynna wasn't the one who saved you, Porter. Though, you have met the person who saved you." He wasn't overly descript in order to allow further questions.
He set down his tinkering and took up the lemon bar. He took a nibble of a bite out of it and let out a small mumble of enjoyment.

Neuks's nose twitched, smelling lavendar and lemon... Her head turned, and she leaned ever so slightly in the direction of the scent, but her eyes kept on her notes while she finished up a sentence. As if her nose and stomach were telling her it was time to take a break. She peeled her eyes away from the notepad and found the treats on a little side table beside her. She perked up, with a twinkle in her eye, as she picked up the lemon bar and took a bite. She was in the middle of savoring it when she heard Pheuse's declaration to Porter. "Umph?! Ffeefs mmot?!" The words mostly uninteligible as she tried to speak with her mouth full.

Tobias nodded solemnly at the news that there had been no news of his sister. He thanked the servant and returned to the room with the others.
"No messages as of yet," he said, noticing the tea cup and lemon square left for him. He lifted the cup and sipped at it, his eyes drawn to Neuks, then following her gaze toward Porter.
"What is it?"
