As they crossed into the cafe, Ellie's features bled into those of Tobias', her shoulder-length red hair becoming his short black hair.
"I need to use the facilities," he said blithely while splitting away from the others, looking for an available seat in the back that would grant him a view of the door - and whoever was following them inside.

Pheuse stayed mounted as they came to the Tal Bots. "I'm not seeing anyone specifically coming toward us at the moment. But I am keeping an eye out in case. We may need to continue moving in short order if the one that was doubling back is not what we expect."
He looked to Porter. "Chilled Chai with Cinammon and cream in the largest vessel they offer ... if they have it." He then looked back out into the crowd to determine if the one moving toward them had shifted to match their new location or if it was moving further back towards the train. He was still attempting to see if he could zero in on the person in the crowd if possible.

Oh, the shop smelled so good! Neuks chewed her lip a moment while she thought about what to order... and then heard Pheuse's order. "One for me too, please!"

Tal Bots was a full service cafe, with a friendly- large- warforged behind the counter sporting a tunic, green apron, and a pin with the name 'Bob' embossed on it.
Meanwhile, Pheuse would feel the tracking spell split back down to one item again- the item traveling east moving out of range. The one that was moving in their direction, however, could now be pinpointed.
A human gentleman, his mid length hair pulled back into a short ponytail and a wispy beard approached. He was exceptionally average, with brown hair, brown eyes, and normal height. He moved to stand in line at Tal Bots with a yawn- not seeming to pay attention to the odd group.

Porter watched Tobias briefly as he walked from the table, getting at least a general idea of what side of the coffee shop he'd be on before turning back to the most important matter at hand. "Very good, Master Pheuse, Mistress Neuks. I will return with your drinks forthwith."
They walked from the group to queue, as well, politely (and deliberately) not looking deliberately at anyone, primarily responding only when the line moved forward. Standing near enough to the new arrival, hopefully, to keep tabs on him primarily in the periphery of their vision. Internally recalling Ellie's reminder about the unit's training in stealth, Porter couldn't help but be impressed by the man's expertise in being so utterly forgettable.

Tobias sat down at the table he had found and immediately turned his attention toward the entrance, adopting the posture of someone waiting for an order or for a visitor or... something. It didn't matter, it always looked the same when you were waiting.
The person who walked in was not who Tobias expected, and Tobias wasn't certain if the man was the one setting off Pheuse's tracking spell. Tobias's eyes moved to the door, back to the man, back to the door. There was something familiar about the man... Tobias adjusted his posture and made a show of watching the servers behind the counter as an excuse to keep the newcomer in his vision as he tried to divine why he looked familiar.
((Insight: Dirty 20))
You're paranoid. I've told you that before, haven't I?
Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean there aren't people out to get us.

Pheuse watched the man coming up. This did not necessarily match what he was expecting. But of course Ket had said that the ring allowed her to change appearance overall.
The other ping vanishing to the east he scrunched his nose. Leaving alone was not advised right now. So if that one was the correct one, it was moving away. No risk no reward, might as well try something.
"So, you free to join us to reconnect with our mutual connection? Or are you still on the clock?" He asked vaguely towards the man as he walked by. He watched the man with a close attention that some might accidentally mistake for flirting.

Neuks was almost too distracted watching the warforged make the tal... But with Pheuse speaking beside her (and Chev resting his head upon the table they settled at, like a dog waiting for a biscuit) she brought her attention back to the table. She tried (unsuccessfully) to watch the man coyly as Pheuse drew his attention.

The young brunette man blinked at Pheuse as he was approached, looking curious and also confused. "I'm... I'm sorry, have we met before?" His faint Brelish accent stuck out against the clipped voices of the Thranes all around them.
Tobias: The voice sounds even more familiar. Something from a long time ago.

((Reaction)) Tobias's eyes widened slightly and his focus locked onto the newcomer. He was too far away to hear the verbal exchange clearly, but the man's tone of voice, his appearance...
He felt the blood drain from his face.
That's not possible...

For about the 100th time since the beginning of their current assignment, Porter took a moment to appreciate how willing Pheuse was to leap directly into the heart of things. They wasn't sure if it was always a good thing, but it certainly did get things done. They couldn't hear what was being said by either of them from the queue, but they could almost imagine how it was playing out. Still, something about this wasn't sitting well with them: Ket had mentioned betrayal, but not whether it was from within or without -- for that matter, they couldn't be certain the other ring was Ket. Porter tried to give them as much attention as they could surreptitiously and hoped they were all on the same side.
"Good day, Bob." Porter says as they arrive to the head of the line, giving the warforged a polite nod. At Bob's size, they must have been for the front lines. Porter wondered if they'd seen much battle or had been created just before the forges were dismantled as well. "I require two of your largest chilled chai, both with cinnamon and cream, please. Whipped, if possible." Glancing quickly over the baked goods, they noticed a finishing touch: pizzelles. Delicate, thin, with a bit of powdered sugar clinging to the floral patterns on them. Porter ordered two of them, as well, to place in the whipped cream.
Once everything was ordered, they returned to paying as much attention as they could to the others.

Tobias took a slow, steady breath, his hand tightening around the hilt of the dagger at his belt. He had to force himself to let go before standing and making trying to feign an air of distracted preoccupation - unsuccessfully, at that. (Performance 8)
He moved past the others to get in line behind the newcomer. Using their bodies as cover, Tobias quickly drew his dagger and turned it point-up, so that he could press it lightly into the other man's lower back (Stealth 19) - not an attack, just a warning.
"...You chose the wrong face," he said quietly, voice low and steady. "Mind if we could step outside for a moment?"

Pheuse gave a soft pout at the rather plain young man who seemed a little off-kilter. "Oh, I'm sorry honey. You reminded me of a Khorvarian that was such a delight on the train." He looked down to eye the ring. "Had a beautiful ring like yours too ... but I guess they might be popular among guard types these days."
He had not seen Tobias sneaking up behind the young man so he had not betrayed their approach. "If you're anything like them though, I am sure we'd get along well. Sorry for the mistake." Pleasantly ignorant of the threat on the young mans life he had simply been smiling and speaking in a tone that was both genuine and suspect. He turned his head and kept eyeing the man with a smirk before looking away for Porter and the drinks.

Neuks didn't notice Tobias either. Instead she was now far more interested in the fact Pheuse was flirting. She propper her elbows up on the table and rested her head in her hands and just smiled between Pheuse and the rather plain gentleman, watching to see his reaction.

Bob, happy to serve up something than plain tal that most of the Thranes ordered, whistled a bright tune as he got to work- the gears in his arm whirring as his hand replaced itself with a whisk. He moved smoothly, almost gracefully, through the steps to make the drink.
Meanwhile, the young man looked confused at Pheuse, glancing down at his ringless hand.... only to get a dagger pressed into his back.
"I-I don't know what you mean, sir." He said, his voice cracking on the words. "This is my face, it's the only one I've got."
