Despite this whole journey starting with me being the survivor of a Nighthaunt attack, I don't think I've felt closer to death than traveling with this group. Not that I blame them at all; in fact I likely would have fallen for good, if not for Rey at my back. I've wondered a couple of times if I've jumped into trouble out of my depth, that I'd just be better traveling and fighting skeletons, beasts, and maybe one day a vampire. But if nothing else, it's nice to know that I'm not alone in whatever goes on. I can't really believe this group would send Ash any money over time, we're not that close, but they're an alright group.
I guess opinions need to be updated? I'm less annoyed by Vincent's being cute and unavailable. I'm still annoyed, but there are other cute people around here-- that tiefling shop owner being one. If that's more his type, then more power to him, and I'll actually see if there are more people like that who I can introduce him to. Jinn is a huge hunk of muscle and I can't not see him being a damn good lay. That besides, he's not dumb, and I appreciate that in a guy and teammate both. Speaking of big muscle, it seems Rey isn't that, so I'll need to rethink how I see dragonborn. She's really shy, and private, but at least I know she's about as old as me! I really want to keep getting to know her, so I'm going to take it slow. If this business with the haunted house gets resolved, I'll cook for her. I wonder if she would enjoy a pie?
Cerys is seriously the mom of the group, but she's not annoying, and I appreciate that. I'm not sure if she likes me, but she did give me advice. At least I think it was advice, and not passive-aggressive scolding? Let it be known that I need money because there's no way I'm going to be able to take care of Ash without it, but Cerys is right, I need to be a bit more subtle about it.
I wouldn't have to, if I were just dealing with the Nighthaunt, and so I maintain that despite being more dangerous, they're less troublesome than people.
