From her spot in the roofline, across from the Tavern, she watched Alina, Biff, and.. surprisingly, Karn leave.
Perhaps there to lecture her more on how she should trust the lizard, because they were only following orders was a perfectly reasonable excuse to murder people. Vidar spent too much time in the woods, and not nearly enough time around the people who called this place home.
Maybe if they did, they'd value the lives of innocents over the freedom of an overgrown crocodilian.
Karn dramatically insisting that Bones wanted the head of every lizard on a pike because she didn't agree in arming someone who had been trying to kill them merely hours before was equally as annoying.
Giving them a healthy amount of time and then some to clear the range of the tavern, Bones slipped down the buildings and ducked across the street to the door, pulling out her thieves tools to unlock it.

Click, click, shunk.
The tumblers slipped on one lock, and the sliding bolt was easy to slip with a pair of thin tools. The door slid open.
Click.
Sitting at the bar was Johnny. Pointed at Bones was his rifle. He opened his other eye, released his hand from the trigger and reengaged the safety mechanism. "For gods sake…"
Johnny's eyes rolled to the ceiling. "Ve have to stop meeting like this. Use those tools to unfuck my lock, and make sure you secure it." He folded his arms, visibly relaxing.

Bones arched an eyebrow at Johnny, looking neither surprised or threatened by the strange weapon he pointed at her.
Instead, she simply slid inside quickly, using her tools to, as ordered, unfuck the lock.

Her job completed, she secured the door before lowering her hood and the scarf wrapped around the lower half of her face.
"Afternoon."

He sighed again, but there was a touch of mirth on his lips. He moved the firearm back under the counter, taking a seat at the bar. One hand slipped into his pocket.
"Glad to see you are well. I'm a little surprised you've come by so soon… Everything is well at the temple?"

Bones nodded, heading to the bar.
"Ali is a good friend, but her very presence is a bit… Telling. I thought I would check in with you, see what I might be able to do safely, ideally, alone around the city before I find some rest for the night. Ali patched me up from the fight with the shadow demon, but… It has been a long day."
She sat, resting her chin on her palm.

"Safe? Hard to say, with so many unknowns." He tilted his head. "Alone? Plenty." Leaning in his chair, he considered her words.
"Commission headquarters are being investigated by two of the men folk… Others are searching the city for survivors and supplies. Someone sneaky could do either job fine enough alone. I heard the sounds of hammers toward Tiryki Anchorage, and east toward Dwarf town. People are working but communication is… Nonexistent. A runner could get an information network kick-started. "
He tilted his head some. "The day has been quiet, aside from your friends exploits. Apparently a dragon comes tomorrow. Our adversaries are either still scrambling from yesterday, or are conserving their strength for whatever happens in the morning."

"Either seems likely." She said with a deep frown. Reaching into her bag, she drew out a map of the city.
What had once likely been a normal map, sold and purchased often enough by those new to the port was now… A mess. At least, at first glance. Notes, extra keys and legends, symbols of unknown meaning- or perhaps only meaning to the cat- covered the map. Even if someone had a language or three in common with Bones, it'd still take a good amount of time and footwork to decipher.
"My instinct is to go to the headquarters. What do you think of the two men that went? Likely to believe I'm a traitor?"

He pursed his lips and thought it over. There was a subtle shake in his head. "Not… Likely. Not of the ones at headquarters, they are both commission. There is one staying here, a woodworker named Michael who feels betrayed. If you run into him, he will ask questions.. He came in with some bad information, but the two town guards who were here saw things first hand and informed him. They, of course, know what our neighbors look like. I think he may be convinced if it comes straight from you." Arms folded, he leaned back.
"Right now he is roaming the town with Andrew, the town guard your elven greenhorn healed. Gunther, the flaming fist, and Harvey, a commission guard, are tasked with headquarters."

Bones nodded, looking down at the map pensively. Pulling out a second, thinner sheet, she laid it over the map and began dividing the city up into sections, working thoughtfully.
"How opposed would you be to having your bar serve as a communication hub?"

He cocked a brow, looking at her blandly. "When the city is actually working, it is a communications hub." He paused.
"Of sort." He then nodded toward her, confirming in less uncertain words.
