:: Rorr moved with Bones to the Black Cat Tavern along with Biff. He continued to play the part of the umbrella in the hopes of putting her at ease. Once they entered he took his cloak off the staff and wrung it outside the door quickly.
He moved out of the way to let the door get closed and locked. "Nnn-I don't understand why they are arming Rrrruuko. Weeerr'n't we told that they follow the strongest?" He draped the cloak across an empty chair and looked across to Bones and Biff. "NNwwe didn't go out of our way to kill the lizardfolk at the dam, but they seemed to still have other generals - following things they thought gods and feared over Blightfaaang."
He looked to his damaged from and touched that slash marks. "Why would you trust someone that was your enemy that explained that the strongest gets the loyalty? It - it doesn't make sense." ::

Johnny had met the trio at the door, stepping aside as they entered. He trusted them to close the door behind them, and so returned to the bar and the rooms beyond once they'd entered. He nodded to Bones as she entered, giving her a quick over. Spotting tatters in her armor, and the dried blood on her muscular, dark skinned friend, he spoke as he moved. "I vill haff somesing ready for hyu in a few minutes. Dry off. Get comfortable."
The interior of the black cat tavern was warm and dry, the hearth currently lit with a dull roaring flame. It was quiet, save for the pattering rain above, which occasionally ramped up to a rumbling clatter, with cracks of thunder peppered in every so often.
The now well-rested Tiefling allowed them to discuss things in private for now, tending to those in the back as they dried themselves.

Bones frowned deeply, taking her regular seat at the bar and getting comfortable, pulling her knees into her chest.
"Hell if I know. I've made my mind, feelings, and thoughts on this clear several times over. If they find that they trust a lizard more than my professional opinion, then I suppose that it up to them. I understand the overlanders- they wouldn't know any better. Verdi should, but it seems they are exceptionally soft hearted, to the point they would arm someone that was trying to kill us as recently as yesterday."+

Biff didn't try to share the umbrella with Bones, electing to simply wear his top through the rain and remove it for the sake of drying it off. They also had a change of clothes at the Tavern, which was good– it meant that Biff could completely disrobe and put on a dry ensemble so he didn't get sick. For the now, he wanted to make sure Bones was fine, so made sure to wring himself off as much as possible right outside the door, before stepping in.
"Biff think it's the fact that she surrendered, recognizing our strength, that convinced them to trust her enough to have her unchained," Biff pondered. "Biff agree though, Ruko and her kind are.. well, very strong. Strong enough to subdue a person, given the chance. Biff would not have her armed; could be our emissary without weapons."

There was some rustling and murmuring behind the cook area where Johnny tended to business. Bones could hear the sound of several female voices, and even the sounds of several children, though it was hard to clock the ages. Johnny's tone was warm and soothing, with the tell tale lift in pitch one took when instructing little ones.
It seemed there was some kind of creative activity underway back there.
Eventually he returned, part way through Biff's damp explanation. The tiefling did not interject or offer words yet- he knew the look on Bones' face and knew the protocol. Biff finished as he rose from under the bar counter.
It wasn't Dwarven, but a small glass of amber liquid was placed in front of Bones. "Courage for the battle without, courage for the battle within. Half of hyur party is missing. Vot has happened?"

"I thought it best they not bring their armed lizard friend they insist on trusting into a place filled with innocents, and they agreed and continued back to Crosp's." She offered with a scowl. "Especially given lizard's feelings towards the hunting of children for sport." She muttered under her breath, taking a deep sip from the glass that Johnny gave her after raising it to him in salute.
"Verdi appears to have decided that it is more important to protect her pet lizard than to babysit me."+

The tiefling raised a brow, legitimately surprised. Rather that begin puzzling the details or suggest an explanation, he merely rapped his knuckles on the bar.
"The discretion is appreciated. Sa folk here are more… Cat people zan reptile"

:: Rorr let out weird sound that seemed akin to a groan of displeasure. "NnnnI understand not wanting to kill wantonly and mmpossibly mmoving the lizards out and back home. But unless we immediately take care of their … deity like person, they will stay and fight for these laaannds."
He snapped his fingers conjuring Poe onto the counter. His eye sockets went dark as he changed to looking through Poe's eyes. He moved his hands clumsily at first re-acclimating to the view. He carefully moved and traced the wounds in his shell. "Nnwhatever dragon that was here last nnnight was nnnot a Red or White."
His hands lingered near to the ancient alchemical symbol. "NnnnI have frills to return to Crowley … and he may have an annnswer or two." His eye sockets stuttered light and then glowed as expected. "NnnCerberus has iinnnstructions to watch and kill Ruko if she tuurrrnnns." He offered to possibly ease concerns about taking longer to return::

Biff nodded to Johnny at his thanks. "Again, Biff understand wish to make Ruko feel comfortable, but she already seem accepting of her lot. No need to drape her in fine purple silk, she may think she has more sway with the group than she does. They recognize the more powerful, yes?" Biff motioned his hand to Bones.
"Perhaps we should make you or Biff Ruko's handler. Biff have the muscles, but you are native, and would make sense if you… subjugated, yes? Then, they also speak of 'Guardians' with what Biff think is… some distaste?perhaps Rorr or Karn?"

Bones's head lifted. "Crowley- now there's a thought. He's certainly the most tolerable of the lizards, and I've a feeling he dislikes them as much I do, for more reason." She rolled her shoulders, sitting back in her chair.
"They speak of 'Guardians' with fear, though I don't know why. Rorr seems to healthy amount of distrust for them, but Karn is downright fawning over it. And I think that it has more sway over the group than you think, Biff. Everyone certainly seemed very cozy with it."
