Crystal and Jinn shared a knowing nod.
"Yes, please, I'd love to help. And I'm sorry again that we woke you up like this, but we knew that you would appreciate knowing that the kids were safe again, and wouldn't ever have to worry about that place. I can go see about getting coffee for you, unless you plan to go back to sleep afterwards."

"Might have to go to town to pick up an axe. I'll see if I can borrow one from Victor. Or just ask to be lended some dry logs..." Vincent nodded, and went to make his way to where Jinn and Crystal went.

"Oh... no, I think I'll be able to handle myself," Victor said with a smile and glance over his shoulder at his dark home. "Now, you said this was going to be a celebratory supper - it's... somewhat early in the day for dinner, isn't it?"
He looked back and between Jinn and Crystal. "Not that this blasted weather makes much difference..." The thin man leaned forward, craning his neck to look up at the sky. "Do you think it'll linger? We haven't had many strong storms come through town in the evening..."

"Dinner ain't a time, it's a state of mind Knick." Jinn thumbed his nose before looking skyward. He frowned some. "Hmm... Yeah, it's been threatenin' to rain for a while now. Maybe Cherry knows- she's got that nature thing down."

REy focused on helping wipe down the dining area, still on ege about any spooks still roaming around.

"With any luck, the storm will make everyone but the shadiest of people go inside for the night, and the wave of bad news ebbs for just a night or two. Besides, what's better than a night of enjoying the rain by the fireside with people you love? Or at least, people you appreciate for helping you stay alive?" Crystal patted Jinn's back.
"If you don't need help, I'll leave you to it, then. But be sure to let someone know if you need anything; I'm sure one of the kids would gladly come over and lend you some of their endless energy," she said before turning to return to the manor. "I need to add another kid to the count, so I'll go do my own prep."

Vincent would be arriving about the time Crystal turned around to leave. "Victor-" He raised his voice some to get the man's attention.
"You don't happen to have an axe I could borrow? Or maybe some dry wood. Or both. There's some at the house, but it's likely soaked."

Victor squinted as he sought to make sense of Jinn's comment about the rain - while the rain continued to pour down in the alley - only to be further confused by Crystal's comment about the storm forcing shady people inside. "I...no, no, I'm fine. I-"
Vincent was calling out to him now and he stood a little straighter. "Oh... I may have an axe somewhere. Let me... I'll bring it over in a moment, let me find it." He inclined his head to those on his doorstep and shut the door to retrieve it from wherever he had set it down.

"I need to find some paper- there's about a dozen lists rattling around in my head and if I don't start writing them down, they're going to disappear like morning fog." Cerys said to no one in particular, wringing the wet rag back into the bucket. It wasn't perfect, but the counters had at least been given a good wipe down.

Jinn just kind of stood there leaning on the door frame as victor shut the door and Vincent approached. There was a very slightly sour expression on his face as he stood out there for a moment.
Out in the rain. Just kind of... Wet.
"... Knick seems kinda skittish. Must be afraid of the storm." He remarked to Vincent as he turned to pass the cleric.
A few lopes later he caught up with Crystal, following her Back to trollskull Manor, "... So about that sister of yours, Ash. What's the plan? Grab her and bring her here today, or see about clearing out a few more hornet's nests first?"

Huh. Did Cerys always talk to herself? Rey tilted her head, half listening as she helped wipe down the nearby room.
Between Jinn and Crystal, there seemed to always be some noise hanging around. Having a calm break was nice.

Crystal gave a nod to acknowledge Vincent as they traded places, he going to Jinn and Victor while she returned to the manor. She didn't expect Jinn to hurry to catch up with her at all, as evidenced by her brows lifting as she stepped into the home. She turned to look for her friend, but didn't see Rey immediately, and assumed the grumpy girl went to go lie down in a corner. The thought made he smile softly, as she turned back to Jinn.
"Oh, I... didn't want to bother people too much with my troubles," she said with a chuckle. "I don't think I can take Cerys browbeating me for counting my money again. But I was serious enough about Rey finding out where she wanted to sleep before I claimed a spot, because I was going to make sure there was a room for Ash and I before I went to go get her. I don't imagine I'd have time to do that before Cerys is done cooking what the kids manage to find, though." She shrugged. "She's safe where she is, it doesn't make sense to pull her from there to a house that's not ready for her. I really want her here, but I'm not going to yank her around like that just because I'm doting that hard. I... guess I can see how long all of this will take. Why, what's on your mind?"

Vincent blinked some as Jinn looked pretty unhappy, but didn't have time to say anything between that, and Victor closing the door. Welp, now he was the one in the rain. You'd think the guy would invite someone in and not just leave them out... in the rain.
He squinted some, wondering whatever it was the guy did in there. He was nice to the kids, but he seemed pretty suspicious, and a bit rude just leaving him out here.
Vincent sighed, and glanced back to where Jinn and Crystal went off to.
