Vanya snorted softly. "They seemed so desperate and all over the place that I didn't want to hurt them. We should find out how many there are... that would probably determine how easy or difficult it would be to help them, yes?
"You seem to know quite a bit about these creatures. Have you encountered them before?"

"Once we're at New Haven, we can sort out what to do from there. I have a feeling that dragon is the red dragon Xilras mentioned."

Verdi was caught off guard with the hand holding, and his face lit up red. He was fine, he was distracted! But she took his hand and that just.... Sent him into a haze.
"Ah- well- we took him d-down quite quickly. He was a monster for sure, but I... I think this group can handle... A lot." He swallowed some, and she could feel the slightest tremble in his fingers.
"We... Will see when we end up down there. It might not be for some time."

Vanya squeezed his hand gently and released it. She nodded. "Alright. But promise you won't run off adventuring without telling me first. I want to make sure you're stocked up. I can make some more of that salve for your skin, and the tea you like, and... oh, I had an idea for these fey mushrooms, but I'm not sure if it would be better to... douse your enemy with them, or to imbibe them as a potion..."

She looked back at the mushroom with a determined expression on her face. "So. Bones will be arriving soon. Ish. We should see how much we can reasonably harvest before we leave..."
